I don't ever look to moving back as here I live like a millionaire. I like the values and the people are very kind, giving and friendly. I loved Beccles too and still do. However, the climate is so good. I breakfast in the garden every morning and play tennis. Of course in America there is not a free ride. You have to work hard for your money, but you get to keep it, and not be taxed up to the eyeballs.   My 19 year old is an electrial apprentice. We bought him a flat to rent from us, (something we would never have enough money to do in England).   My are 3 girls are now little Americans and do not want to go back. We hope to go for American citizenship next year.   Helena    Report

16/11/2007, 3:36 PM livininarizona Joined on 28/12/2006 Posts 6 Re: Sir John Leman OK Helena lol that answers my question in the previous post, i too went Sir John Leman left in 1983 (i feel old now lol), we live in Phoenix area too, in Surprise where are you living?  Who would have thunk that Beccles being such a small town and we are both from there living in Phx!!  My eldest is 16 and we just love being here, like you say you get spoiled and we would never have the size house with a pool in the back garden in England!!  Going home in June for family wedding cant wait to see my family again.    Report
