Some sixty years ago I was lucky enough to join a party of youngsters from the Sir John Leman School on a visit to Holland - one of the first post 1939-45 school exchanges.  My own school's plans had fallen through and, as a 15 year-old, I joined the Beccles school party at Ipswich rail station.  I believe the cost was £11.   We travelled across overnight on the Prague and stayed with individual families.   The passing of time has eroded one's memories but I recall a boat trip and being ferried on an Amerian military truck - and going into central Den Hagg for the Queen's birthday celebrations.  Did the school journal have a detailed report of the trip?  I will be most interested in any helpful response.  Darc    Report
