It is time to start counting those tokens, as primary schools in Norfolk and Waveney compete to win vouchers to spend on LEGO® educational toys.
After 10 weeks of collecting LEGO® Education tokens from your local newspapers, the campaign has come to an end and no more will be printed.
More than 200 schools in Norfolk and Waveney signed up for the campaign and pupils, school staff and families have been busy collecting since February 20.
For many years, we have supported schools by running initiatives to encourage learning - giving away more than £100,000.
Our latest education campaign, in association with Richardson's Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, is giving away vouchers to spend on LEGO® Education with Creative Hut.
Norfolk Education Awards 2023: ‘Together we support future generations’
The aim is to get children and teachers to re-think STEM learning and encourage children to engage with learning in the classroom with LEGO® Learning System.
The winning schools - decided by the number of tokens as a ratio to the number of pupils - will receive £1,000.
Second prize will be £500, and every other school that collects more than 1,000 tokens will receive £50 to spend.
Tokens were printed in the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News as well as in weekly papers the North Norfolk News, Dereham and Fakenham Times, Great Yarmouth Mercury, Beccles and Bungay Journal and Lowestoft Journal.
The final tokens were printed last week and collectors now need to hand tokens in to their chosen school before the deadline of May 12.
Once schools have announced their final totals the winners will be announced in June.
