Several flood alerts have been issued across Suffolk this morning, Thursday, December 21, as Storm Pia hits the country.
The rivers Lark, Deben, Waveney and Dove could all burst their banks today as tidal levels continue to rise after heavy rain and strong wind.
The Environment Agency issues alerts when flooding is possible in an area.
Minor flooding to low-lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely in the areas around the River Deben from Debenham, to and including Bromeswell, and the River Lark from Clopton to Martlesham.

The River Waveney from Diss and the River Dove to Ellingham, including Bungay, are also experiencing high tide levels following the heavy rainfall.
Beccles Quay is also experiencing very high water levels due to a natural tide-locking effect, caused by high tides in Great Yarmouth.
However, The Environment Agency is not expecting the situation to escalate and just warns people to take care on riverside footpaths and avoid unnecessary danger.
The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days but no significant rainfall is expected.
