Christmas Day is just days away and for some there are still hopes of waking up to a blanket of snow on Christmas morning.
But can you remember the last time Suffolk had a White Christmas?
To qualify as a White Christmas, the Met Office says one snowflake has to be seen falling in the 24 hours of Christmas Day somewhere in the UK.
Technically the last official Christmas morning snow was in 2020 after the Met Office recorded snowfall at Wattisham in the early hours of the morning – but it didn't settle on the ground.
The last time snow settled in Suffolk at Christmas was in 2010 and before that it was in 1970, making it a 40 year gap between White Christmases.

Will Suffolk have a White Christmas this year?
The big question everyone is asking is will there be snow on Christmas in 2023?
A spokesman for the Met Office said that while Christmas Day will be a little colder than the weekend, no snow is expected in Suffolk on the day.
If the pattern of a 40 year gap between snow settling on Christmas Day continues, Suffolk may not have another White Christmas until 2050.
