Those dreading their annual Christmas Day dip might not need to be scared, as temperatures across Suffolk and Norfolk have soared.

Temperatures have reached as high at 15C today (Sunday, December 24) as East Anglia experiences what could be the warmest Christmas Eve on record.

The average temperature for this time of year in the region is around 8C.

Other areas around the country have also recorded far warmer temperatures than usual.

Forecasters predicted a few days ago that both Norfolk or Suffolk wouldn't see any snow this festive season.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Current indications are that Christmas Day will be a little colder than over the weekend but will be dry so we are not expecting any snow across East Anglia during the Christmas period."
