Modules forming part of James Paget University Hospital's new £17m orthopaedic ward have been delivered.

The modules will form a new Orthopaedic Elective Hub building, where more than a thousand operations could be carried out every year and will help reduce surgical waiting times for patients.

The centre will include two theatres for elective surgery, eight treatment rooms, six clinical consultation rooms and a waiting area, as well as staff rooms and offices.

The new Orthopaedic Elective Hub will also sit alongside the hospital's £15m Concept Ward, which opened to patients last year.
