Caomhe, 18, was one of five acts hand selected for the BBC Introducing event that saw young artists given advice at a masterclass at the Abbey Road and Maida Vale studios in London.

Among the classes she attended was a guitar workshop with Newton Faulkner and a song-writing tutorial with BBC 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson.

Caomhe said it was an overwhelming experience to go to the famous studios and be given the masterclass.

“It was amazing and was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so grateful,” she said.

“There were about 250 people which seems a lot, but when you think about the number of musicians on BBC Introducing and think how many people play, it is actually quite a small number.”

The singer, who describes her music as pop/country/folk, revealed that the experience had made her motivated to write all the time.

In September, the former Norwich School student, also went to Nashville, Tennessee, USA, where she wrote songs with writer Billy Austin and played at the Bluebird Café, a famous acoustic music club.

Caomhe is hoping to return to Nashville this year and is intending to study music at university in London next year.
