Buses to replace weekend trains between Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft

The closure of train services between Norwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth continues this weekend for signalling improvements.

Network Rail is carrying out improvements to signalling systems across the Greater Anglia routes and as a result, replacement buses will be in place.

The work, which started last weekend, is due to finish tomorrow.

Greater Anglia lines will also be closed between Beccles and Lowestoft today and tomorrow.

A statement on the Greater Anglia website said: “Buses will replace trains for between Norwich and Great Yarmouth and Norwich and Lowestoft.

Services will return to normal running commencing Monday 19 February 19. In addition, buses will also replace trains between Beccles and Lowestoft Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February.”
