Car stolen then set alight in Beccles

A GREY Vauxhall Zafira was stolen from Rigbourne Hill, in Beccles, before being set alight.
The people carrier was taken between 11pm on Sunday and 7.15am on Monday. It was found burnt out in Cucumber Lane.
A police spokesman said: “It’s thought it would have been set alight late on Sunday or in the early hours of Monday as the remains were not smouldering when it was found around 7am.”
Anyone who saw anything suspicious at either location, or the vehicle between those times, or anyone with information about who took it is asked to call PC 735 Newson on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
