George and Priya, who adopted Gorleston as their home 12 years ago, have presented a cheque for £3,3387.50 to the Louise Hamilton Centre, along with their children Asin, Michelle and Hannah.

The whole family decided to cut hair from their heads for the Little Princess Trust, while at the same time fundraising for cancer support centre the Louise Hamilton Centre.

Both parents work at the James Paget University Hospital and were delighted to be able to raise so much money.

George said: “So many people have supported us - we’ve had messages of support from five continents. We want to thank everybody who has helps us with this.

“Lots of people have been extremely generous.”

The family broadcast their haircuts live on their Facebook page, which they have been using to promote their fundraising.

A fundraising page has also been set up, which remains open for donations until May.
