Today’s opening heard that 68-year-old Neil Gregg, of Litchmere Road, Kirby Cane, had been driving a car along Litchmere Road on February 16 when the car left the road and collided with a tree.

Mr Gregg died at the scene.

Deputy Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said a postmortem examination had been carried out.

She said that a preliminary report stated that the cause of death was a fractured neck due to a road traffic collision.

The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
