Jaz Sampson, 19, from Norwich raised £1065.20 for Dereham Cancer Care by doing a sky dive at Beccles Airfield.

The jump was organised by the landlord of the Prince of Denmark pub in the city where she worked and she was sponsored by her workmates and customers as well as family and friends.

The pub sadly closed down just before before the event.

Charity treasurer and administrator Janet Money said she was asked to go along and watch.

“We left Dereham early on a very foggy and damp morning and we expected it to be cancelled,” she said. “As we arrived at Beccles the clouds cleared and the sun shone. Jaz took big white gloves to wear so that we could pick her out amongst the other sky divers.

“We would like to thank Jaz and her family and everyone who helped and sponsored her thrilling skydive.”
