Staff at stores in Lowestoft, Beccles and nine other stores around East Anglia took on an 11 mile walk in aid of CLIC Sargent, a charity supporting young lives affected by cancer.

The event, Morrisons Makes Miles, took inspiration from the many children and young people facing an average round trip of 60 miles every time they need treatment.

Walkers were waved off by mayor Ian Graham from Morrisons on Tower Road, Lowestoft, before walking along the coastal path to the Morrisons store in Gorleston.

Morrisons Community Champions Sheryl Rumble, from the Lowestoft store, organised the walk alongside colleague Sara Farr from Kings Lynn, and said: “We thought it would be a great idea to bring stores together to raise awareness of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we are so proud to support such a life-changing charity that helps more than 7,000 children each year.”
