A Beccles school is opening its doors for another coffee morning in aid of charity.
The Sir John Leman High school raised more than £550 during a coffee morning in September last year for Macmillan Cancer Support, and this month the school is raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity which aims to improve dementia care and funds extensive research into cures and investigating causes.
A spokesman from the school said: “The event is open to everyone in the local community and by working together we can help to improve the lives of people with dementia, thanks to the excellent support provided by this organisation.
“You can expect to enjoy live music provided by talented students as well as a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
“The school is also very grateful to Natalie Clement, community champion of Tesco in Beccles, for working closely with the school and kindly donating raffle prizes.”
The event will be held in the main school hall on Wednesday, March 21, from 10am to noon.
The event is open to everyone in the local community.
