An innovative mental health conference set to take place in Lowestoft has sold out after overwhelming public demand.

The Lowestoft Conference, will be held from 9.30am to 4pm on Saturday, February 3, at Lowestoft Community Church in Hadenham Road.

More than 300 people have registered for tickets to the event.

Tod Sullivan, Lowestoft’s mental health ambassador, organised the event with Feedback Mental Health and has called the public response “amazing.”

He said: “The conference is about people in the community finding out more and helping us to create more community-led projects to help those with mental health diagnosis.”

The event will feature inspiring talks from national and local campaigners.

Among those will be Dan Biddle, a survivor of the 7/7 terror attacks in London who will discuss the impact of PTSD on his life.

A sister event designed to support carers and families called ‘The Suicide Prevention Workshop’ is taking place the same day from 11.30am to 3.00pm at The Involve Centre and is free to attend.
