Thetford Rovers 2 Bungay Town 3

The Black Dogs ended a run of six games without a win as two late goals brought them a dramatic victory at Thetford on Saturday.

After a good first half which they dominated and were unlucky to only be level at the interval, they lost their way a bit in the second to allow the home side to go ahead.

But with two minutes left Alex Shreeve struck twice to snatch the points and take his tally to 13 in 15 games.

It was Shreeve who got in the first shot of the match on six minutes that the keeper saved and he went close again in the 12th minute.

Liam Williams and Callum Rudkin went close before Bungay took the lead on 35 minutes.

Jackson Williams crossed from the right and it sailed into the top far corner.

It was against the run of play when Rovers equalised right on half time through Regan Strutton.

Oli Alexander and Jackson Williams had good shots saved after the interval before Leuenberger fired a 25-yard shot wide.

Shreeve was injured and replaced by new signing Mark Thompson.

The home side went ahead in the 64th minute through Robbie Mulloy's firm header from a corner.

But Shreeve returned to the fray, and with two minutes left he was felled in the box and got up to drill home Bungay’s first penalty of the season.

Deep into eight minutes of added time the striker took Andre Martens’ cut back and turned to fire home the winner, with the ball taking a deflection on the way.
