Sprowston 4 Bungay Town 3

In a wind-affected match, the Black Dogs were unable to hang on to a two-goal interval lead as their recent fine run came to an end at Sprowston on Saturday.

They were impressive in the first half on the artificial pitch, but Sprowston hit four four in 16 minutes as one of the favourites for promotion finally made their second half dominance tell.

Bungay started well with Alex Shreeve twice going close before the Black Dogs deservedly went ahead in the 23rd minute as Shreeve converted.

Ling saved a header but the home keeper was the busier and did well to reach a pass from Corey Thurston just before Child could get there.

Child then went close but three minutes into first half added time he powered a left foot shot into the top corner from 20 yards to make it 2-0.

It was one-way traffic after the interval and Ling made a number of good saves.

Finally in the 73rd minute the home side pulled one back as Marcus Dunthorne-McKinerney drove a shot wide of Ling.

They equalised in the 77th minute through Tom Blake before Shaun Wones put them ahead in the 84th minute.

Darcy Bowen made it 4-2 in the 89th minute as the Bungay defence failed to clear.

Four minutes into added on time Shreeve pulled a goal back as he forced the keeper into a mistake.

And a minute later Thurston had the chance of a dramatic equaliser, only for the keeper to smother the ball at his feet.
