The focus in the Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League this week is on the three Under-12 leagues.

The match to watch was the contest between undefeated Caister Roma and Gorleston FC and goals from Callum, Oscar and Blake gave Caister a 3-2 win to move clear at the top.

Sole Bay are third after their 6-2 home win over the Lynx team at Burnt Hill, and there were goals for Kye and Freddy for Shrublands in their 5-2 defeat at home to Harleston.

Bohemians Lions enjoyed a second win, with goals from Marley and two each from Kye and Finn securing the three points in a 5-2 home win over the Pumas of Waveney.

With Heigham Park Pumas inactive top position in their division is now shared with the Golden Eagles of Gorleston Rangers. There were hat-tricks for Jaylon, Samuel and Levi plus goals from Christian (2) and Oscar in their 12-1 defeat of Freethorpe, Waveney Wildcats moved up to third with two goals from Keegan and one from Joel in a 3-1 win at Brooke.

Even when scoring three times away, with goals from Andre, Oliver and Kaan, Beccles Hornets lost 4-3 to the Tigers of Bohemians.

Gorleston Rangers Hawks remain leaders at the top of Division One by just one point earned last weekend in a 1-1 draw with the Thundercats of Waveney. Jayden was on target for the Thundercats and Thomas for the Hawks.

Although Leon scored for the Wasps of Beccles Town, the Cobras of Kirkley and Pakefield showed no letting up as they move into second place with an impressive 9-1 defeat of the Wasps. The Vipers of Kirkley and Pakefield moved up to fourth in a re-run of last season’s final, goals from Corey and two each for Bobby and Cole securing the points in a 5-1 defeat of the Eagles of Gorleston Rangers who had Robbie on target.

Ormesby Lads, with goals from Harley and both Lewises along with three from Callum banked three points with a 6-1 win over the Falcons of Gorleston Rangers who had Bernardo on target. The blow the whistle campaign to raise money for throat cancer was visible last weekend as both chairman Shaun Platten and vice president Sammy Morgan visited both Gorleston FC and Shrublands and thanks to the generosity of their supporters £109.85 was raised in just a few hours.
