Hot on the heels of their spectacular 50th anniversary pantomime, an amateur dramatics society is set to hold auditions for its next production.

The Lowestoft Players are set to present Guys and Dolls this summer, and are actively seeking gangsters, gamblers, cabaret artistes, salvationists and a host of other roles.

Auditions for the parts will take place from 9.30am on Sunday, February 11 at the Players Theatre on Battery Green, which is also where the classic comedy musical will be performed in June.

Ahead of the auditions, there will be an information night at the Players Theatre from 7.30pm, allowing budding performers to hear the music, discuss the characters and meet the production team.

Audition pieces are available from Caroline Warren via glenmannahq@gmail.com and at the information evening.

The Players’ Cinderella pantomime, performed in January, yielded their best audience figures to date. In addition, the company has been nominated for Best Pantomime (Snow White, 2017) and Best Musical (Hairspray, 2017) at this year’s NODA Awards.
