Jazz weekend to feature top names

A high calibre line up will take to the stage at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield for the Lowestoft Jazz Weekend.

Running from Friday, September 14 to Sunday, September 16, first up tonight at 8pm is the legendary Liane Carroll and her trio, who are regulars at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London. Tickets £15. On Saturday, at 5pm, local longtime jazz man, and double bass virtuoso, Gill Alexander leads a line up of top quality musicians. There is no fixed charge for this event. At 8pm tomorrow brilliant pianist Darius Brubeck performs with his highly regarded quartet. Tickets £15.

On Sunday, at 2pm, Ray Simmons and friends entertain, and there is no fixed charge for this event. Also on Sunday, at 5.30pm, established local band, Pangaea perform. The jazz weekend concludes on Sunday at 7.30pm when Ian Shaw entertains. Tickets £15
