Police have said a man arrested following a fatal crash that claimed the lives of two cyclists will face no further action.

The incident happened along the A143 at Billingford close to the Three Horseshoes pub last August.

Two men in their 30s riding electric bikes died at the scene after a red Mini Cooper was involved in a collision with them on the Bungay Road, near Diss.

The incident led to calls for a safety review of the speed limit on the road with residents and business owners saying speeding is a huge problem along the road.

A man in his 40s was arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released on bail.

He was re-bailed again in December and now police have confirmed no charges will be brought against the man.

A Norfolk police spokeswoman said: "A man in his 40s, arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, will face no further action following an investigation."
