From a much-loved city restaurant closing to the launch of a B&B from a hit television show, here are five changes happening in Norfolk in April 2024.
Emmaus opens the Refractory in Ditchingham
After featuring on the hit BBC show Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr, the homeless charity has announced it will be lauching its Refractory with a ticketed event this month.
Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is based in the 19th-century All Hallows Convent in Ditchingham, near Bungay.
On the show, the contestants transform the former nun's bedrooms - the charity is continuing to fundraise for the B&B with the plan to open in 2025.
Bubba Kitchen & Bar
The fried chicken and burger brand has made the decision to close its venue in White Lion Street after opening in October.
The chef-owner Iain Carter has now announced that he will be closing his current site due to "health reasons", with the final day on April 27, 2024.
While the venue is closing, the Bubba brand is not and he plans to open at a different location in the future.
Bricks Hairdressers closing
The hairdressers in Magdalen Street is set to close after its owner decided it was the right time to sell up.
The salon opened last May after a £44,000 renovation was undertaken by owners Alex and Lauren Barratt.
Bricks is set to close on April 13.
New Ryanair flights from Norwich
This month, the discount airline has begun flying from Norwich airport to three new locations.
The flights began yesterday and offer the chance to fly direct to Malta, Alicante and Faro on Mondays and Fridays.
Norwich Airport currently operates flights to 18 destinations in nine countries, with connections to 150 more locations via Amsterdam.
Hash Papa
Friends Max Swann, 30, Will Durham, 31, and Guy Gillingwater, 33, who all went to Aylsham High School, have joined forces to create Hash Papa opening later this month.
On offer will be a selection of loaded hash browns including truffle macaroni cheese with crispy bacon and buffalo fried chicken with blue cheese.
The team are hosting a pop-up in Aylsham on April 13, before the opening of their Norwich branch.
