A housing developer has been refused permission to keep up an advertising board for 241 homes at a Norfolk roundabout.
Hopkins Homes applied to South Norfolk District Council (SNDC) for permission to keep advertising their Barsham Vale development at the Stockton roundabout, where the A146 meets the A143.
However, Hopkins Homes' application for retrospective consent was refused by SNDC because they said it has a "detrimental impact" on the landscape of the area.
The site of the 241 homes in Beccles being advertised is mostly still under construction, with just 40pc of homes completed and now occupied.

The development is approximately four miles and a 10-minute drive from the sign at the roundabout.
The developer has appealed this decision, arguing the sign is a "temporary advertisement" for a residential development "in the vicinity".

They also argue the position is next to an illuminated roundabout, which is not a "protected landscape", so it does not have a detrimental impact.
But SNDC has not told them to take the advertisement board down while the appeal process is under way.
Neither Norfolk County Council highways department nor Gillingham Parish Council had any objection to the board.
