EXCITEMENT levels in Lowestoft reached fever pitch for star-struck fans as celebrity Katie Price descended on the town centre on Saturday for a book signing.
Dressed to impress, the former model - also known as Jordan - posed with a copy of her new novel at Waterstones in London Road North for photos and shouted a special “thank-you” to those who had waiting so long in bad weather to see her, as excitable fans overcome with emotion let out screams of delight.
Shoppers looked on as teenage girls chanted Katie's name in anticipation of her arrival, and by 2.30pm the queue had grown to about 500 people.
For full coverage and photos of the visit, see this Friday's Beccles and Bungay Journal.
