A BECCLES man who moved to London with no job and “no clue” of what to do with his life is now making waves in the world of electronic music production.
Dean Suter, pictured, who moved from his home in Pound Road in 2007, is now working as the rising dubstep star Hazy.
He currently has an EP out on i-Tunes, Hazy Redeye, and has been signed to the Birmingham record label Hijack.
And he is selling music in the USA, after being snapped up by Imperative Recordings in Arizona.
Mr Suter started out DJing in Norwich, but had no concrete plans when he first moved to the capital after leaving Notre Dame High School.
“I just came here, I didn't have a clue what I was going to do with my life,” said Mr Suter, 20. “I went to Connexions and they said, why don't you go on a music tech course? So I did.”
Mr Suter has now emerged as one of London's very hottest talents.
“I have been on such an incredible journey,” he said. “I never knew this would happen so quickly. I am so thankful to all my friends and family in East Anglia for all their support and I would love to repay my county by releasing one of my new tracks as an exclusive to the local residents.”
Mr Suter, who describes his dubstep style as “grimy, dirty and wobbly,” has also hosted a show on the internet radio station After Dark.
He has employed his sister Jessica as his PR agent.
Hazy's music is available to download on iTunes at www.apple.com/itunes and Imperative Recordings at www.myspace.com/imperativerecordings.
