A high school is celebrating after its pupils triumphed in a county-wide sporting competition.
Pupils from Bungay High School, in Queens Road, won the under-15 division of the North Suffolk Boccia Games.
Boccia is a precision ball sport similar to bowls and is one of only two Paralympic sports which has no counterpart in the Olympics.
It was originally designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy but has since grown to include people with other severe disabilities which impact motor skills.
The winning team consisted of Andrew Flatt, Chris Bradwell, Zach Thorndyke, James Thurston, Saffron Nicols, Kelsie Dyer and Alex Sargeant.
With Miss Bullen, a teacher at the school, overseeing the team.
A high school spokesman said: “Despite tough opposition and nail-biting games, Bungay High triumphed overall and won the tournament.
“Congratulations to the Boccia team who fully deserved the title.”
The team will now go on to compete in the county finals on March 1.
