All 97 pupils at Holton St Peter Primary School have enjoyed taking part in a reading challenge.
The challenge was set by county councillor Tony Goldson and saw the children read at least one book over the holidays.
When they returned to school they had to hand in a book review and a display of their work was created to celebrate with pupils, parents, staff and governors.
As all of the children achieved the challenge set by Mr Goldson the school received a cheque for £250 to update some of the books in the library.
Jean Righton, headteacher said: “We would like to thank all of the children and their families for supporting this challenge and Mr Goldson for his very generous donation. Thank you also to Mrs Lovett and Mrs Camp for all their hard work in making our library such a fantastic place for learning.”
