New public access terminals have been installed in Waveney as a council has teamed up with the Citizens Advice Bureau to make it easier for residents to apply for Universal Credit.
The four new Waveney District Council funded terminals have been installed at two branches of the North East Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) – at St Margaret's House in Lowestoft and New Market in Beccles.
Universal Credit aims to simplify the benefits system, with public access terminals also available at the Marina Customer Service Centre in Lowestoft.
Frank Mortimer, council chairman, said: 'Working with the Citizens Advice Bureau has ensured that the terminals are in an easily accessible location and that help is on hand to support people through their Universal Credit application if needed.'
