Fee Fi Fo Fum I smell the blood of a beautifully crafted, though cringeworthy, gut-wrenchingly hilarious performance you must see.

A show which will surface your inner child, leaving you embarrassed to be cackling (though can’t stop).

Against the pressure of the boastful and coercive, cunning and evil, Fleshcreep, the kind and fair Jack, is forced to sell his beloved cow Daisy, in trade for beans...

This breaks Jack's heart, but the beans present an eventual solution to end the selfish villain's greedy money-motivated occupation of the village.

With a script written by the wonderful Hayley Evenett, who played the starring role of Jack, Mrs Evenett's portrayal of the traditional tale encapsulates everything that panto is all about.

With gags and jokes, this adaptation is hilarious and goofy while the characters lend a relatability and fondness which connects you with them.

Oh yes it does!

Prepare for an emotive evening of laughter in a topsy-turvy whirlwind plot which will have you on the edge of your seat.

Whether it be the plot which has you on the edge of your seat, or your own nerves about being picked on by the Dame, who at any moment may single you out.

The intimacy of the Fisher Theatre is what elevated the play, nobody is safe from being teased or interrogated in the caldron of the auditorium.

In the wonderfully traditional Panto style, it isn’t just the Dame who may select you for ridicule...

While the sweetness of the popcorn or ice cream at the interval may provide the energy kick of a sugar rush you need to get you through Act Two; it is the sweetness of Daisy the Cow’s character and her innocence, with your hope for her to have a happy ending which will keep you intensely engrossed.

Audience engagement is essential, so be ready to boo the tormenting villain and moo with Daisy the Cow.

The show is full of heart and soul, passion and joy, and a perfect setting to bring your little’uns who will love the choreography, colour and creativity of the tale.

Or perhaps even a date (like I had the pleasure of doing) and it went down a treat...

“Oh no it didn’t!”...

Quite, it’s a work in progress...

The panto continues until December 31. Tickets can be booked online.
