Beccles Rotarians have attended a joint dinner at the Sir John Leman High School with members of the School Council.
The dinners had become an annual event before the pandemic and have resumed after a three-year gap.
The Rotary club president Serena Emberley responded to a speech by the headteacher Michael Taylor and she expressed the club's thanks, not just for the meal but for the very pleasant relationship with the school.
Food was provided by the school’s caterers and the students helped with serving the meals, moving around to a new place between courses to enable them to meet and chat with more of the visitors.
Rotarians were pleased to find out what the students were achieving and what plans they had for the future.
This spirit of cooperation will be seen again at the Beccles Cycle for Life charity ride on Sunday, May 14 to be based from the school again.
