A popular bakery chain says its 'Mini Magpies' shop in Beccles has received "lots of positive feedback" from customers in a successful first week.

The new Two Magpies Bakery shop has opened in the former office of estate agent Musker McIntyre.

Co-owner of Two Magpies, Steve Magnall, said: "We are delighted with our first week in Beccles.

"Trading is better than we expected and we are already starting to see local customers come in on a daily basis."

Operations manager, Yasmin Wyatt has been working in the shop in its first week and said "regular customers" from other sites have been popping in.

Ms Wyatt said: "It's been very successful first week in Beccles, with lots of positive feedback from customers that have visited.

"It’s the first of our ‘Mini Magpie’ concept and so far it’s working really well.

"It’s always great to set up a new site and be a part of a new community but even better seeing a few regular customers from our other sites."
