Do you remember taking a dip at one of Suffolk's outdoor swimming pools in the summer?

Ipswich, Sudbury and Beccles are among the towns who had or still have open-air swimming pools.

The Grade II listed pool in Ipswich first opened in 1938 and thousands flocked there every summer.

The pool was in such demand back in 1965 that crowds queued for hours for a place in the water.

Sadly, the lido closed in 2002, but the Broomhill Pool Trust fought to bring it back into use.

The lido in Sudbury was also very popular during the summer months.

Hundreds of people would visit the town to take the plunge.
