After weeks of torrential downpours and unsettled weather, Suffolk could see summery conditions return.
Forecasters are predicting that temperatures could creep up to the high-20s in the county next week.
ITV Anglia weatherman Chris Page had previously said on Twitter this week that computer models were suggesting highs of 31C in the region.
He said: "24 hours on from yesterday's data, temperatures have been pulled back slightly.
"More so mid to high 20s and less likely of 30C/31C now but still I think we’ll take that."
Before the warm weather hits the county is set to be hit by heavy rainfall over the weekend.
Torrential downpours are expected to hit most of the county on Saturday.
A spokesman for the Met Office said that although they "expect temperatures to recover", there will be a period of low pressure which could cause cloud and rain at the start of next week.
By Thursday, the forecaster said the region may see temperatures in the mid-20s.
These predictions come after weeks of rainy weather which included a weather warning earlier this week for thunderstorms and flood alerts.
Last month was one of the UK's wettest Julys on record, with an average of 140mm of rain.
