A pumpkin festival is preparing to open ahead of Halloween.

The Westhall Apple & Pumpkin Festival is returning for its seventh year on Saturday, October 7.

The event near Halesworth is hosted outside on The Green and Westhall's community-owned pub, The Racehorse.

It starts from 2pm.

Attendees can enjoy all things apple and pumpkin-related, from pressing apples using "Professor Scratterbrain's" bicycle-powered press and choosing from a mouth-watering range of apples from a local orchard.

There are squashes and pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colours and sourdough bread and treats from a local artisan baker.
