Hearts will be hidden throughout the gardens of a stately home this half term.  

Somerleyton Hall, near Lowestoft, is set to host a February half term adventure in the estate's gardens.

Described as "fun for the whole family!" a Queen of Hearts Garden Trail will take centre stage throughout Somerleyton gardens and maze.

Open from Saturday, February 17 to Sunday, February 25, from 10am to 4pm, a Somerleyton Hall spokesman said: "Treat your Valentine and Valentinos to a stroll through Lovingland’s most romantic garden this half term.

"This February half term explore Somerleyton gardens and maze to discover hidden hearts on the Queen of Hearts Garden Trail.

"Discover the hidden hearts, be sure not to miss the large foliage heart for a photo opportunity and get lost together in one of England’s finest Yew Mazes.  

"The Greenhouse Café will also be open for delicious heart themed homemade treats."

Lord Somerleyton, Hugh Crossley, added: "The Queen Of Hearts Garden trail is a perfect way to get outdoors with your loved ones and has been designed as a great family day out.

"We hope the event brings some love, colour, and romantic ballads to your winter break."

Considered one of the finest gardens in East Anglia since the mid-17th century, Somerleyton Hall Gardens continues to delight visitors of all ages and is slowly being re-imagined as a series of interconnected rooms.  

The centrepiece of the gardens is the Nesfield Parterre to the west of the hall.

To the north of Somerleyton Hall, the charming sunken white garden is set within the footprint of the former winter garden. 

Tickets cost £9.95 for adults, £8.95 for over 60s, £5.95 for children aged between three and 16, with under 3s going free.

Last entry to take part in the trail is 2.30pm.
