A festival is heading to a historic site on the Norfolk and Suffolk border this weekend and it promises fun for all the family.

Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is a homelessness charity providing a home for as long as needed to its 32 residents at the former All Hallows Convent site in Ditchingham, near Bungay.

This Saturday, March 23, Spring Fest takes place there from 10am to 4pm with free entry and parking.

The 19th-century convent was recently featured on BBC One's Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr.

The drop-in workshops will include a food historian demonstration, beeswax candle making, embroidery, floristry and paper making.

There will also be an Easter treasure trail, traditional children's games, market stalls, arts and crafts and live music.

Cecile Roberts, CEO of Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, said: "Seeing the public exploring and discovering the amazing history of All Hallows has been a real joy.

"Our site is beautiful in the spring and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to another brilliant event."

This event is part of the charity's series of heritage events supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
