Armed police called to reports of man with gun in Bungay

Armed officers from Norfolk Police were called to Bungay to respond to reports a man in Broad Street had a shotgun, but did not find any firearms.

Three people were arrested following the operation in the evening of Good Friday including a 23-year-old man who was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and charged with a drug offence.

Ryan Latham, of Broad Street in Bungay was charged with possessing a Class A drug, crystal meth, and was released on bail.

He will appear before magistrates in Lowestoft on Monday, April 20.

A 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old man also arrested in connection with the incident were questioned by police and released without charge.
