Arrest after Beccles metal theft

Hayley Mace A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident at the Ellough industrial estate, near Beccles.Police were called to the estate at about 3pm yesterday to reports of metal being stolen from a building.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident at the Ellough industrial estate, near Beccles.
Police were called to the estate at about 3pm yesterday to reports of metal being stolen from a building.
A Suffolk police spokesman said that the offender was believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle and that the force helicopter was involved in the search.

A man was subsequently arrested and has been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station tomorrow.
