Twenty A-level art students from Bungay Sixth Form Centre have celebrated their art and textiles work with an exhibition and open evening.

The students put on a display of paintings, drawings, print and sculptures made out of a range of materials, while the A-level fashion and textile students hung their dresses and garments from a marquee frame in the hall.

Paul Cope, one of the art teachers at the school, said: “We are very pleased with the show. The students have demonstrated a high level of creativity and inventiveness with some very beautiful work. I am very pleased that 8 of our year 13 students have got places at art college, three of them on degree courses at Norwich, Northumberland and Sheffield Hallam Universities.”

Louise Metcalfe, director of sixth form, added: “The creativity and commitment the students have shown is tremendous and the exhibition was a fantastic showcase for their work. They have been a real credit to themselves and the sixth form.”
