The Beccles Society of Artists have recently acquired a display cabinet to help promote their presence in the town, which gives artists the opportunity to reveal the wealth of artistic talent hidden away in our community.

The new display cabinet which features the society’s Picture of the Month, can be found on the exterior wall of Goodwin Cowley Solicitors in New Market, Beccles, who have kindly sponsored the display cabinet site.

“At Goodwin Cowley Solicitors we are delighted to be able to support and help promote the work of such a long-standing and popular local association whilst at the same time give everybody the opportunity to enjoy a selection of the work produced,” said Greta Tancred, solicitor at Goodwin Cowley.

The society meets on the first Wednesday of the month at the Waveney Centre in New Market, Beccles, from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Guests can attend monthly meetings at a charge of £3 per meeting. Membership for 2015 costs £20.

The society welcomes enquiries from anyone from the age of 16 upwards who is interested in becoming a member. You do not need to be a practising artist, just have an interest in art.

The society gives financial support to young people through their Delf Memorial Fund. Further details can be found at www.becclesartists.co.uk
