Firefighters were called to a possible building fire following sightings of a small explosion.
Crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the building on London Road, Beccles, just after midnight last night.
Reports of a bang followed by some sparks in an electrical plant room raised fears of a fire, but a spokesman for the fire service said crews investigated and found no evidence of a fire after switching off the alarm and were stood down at 12.37am.
Crews from Lowestoft South, Beccles, and Bungay were called to attend, with Lowestoft South being stood down before arrival.
