MELBOURNE in Australia is the latest destination for the new Bought in Beccles reusable bag, which is being paraded around the world as part of the Beccles Business Association's (BBA) Beccles Bag Challenge.
Two week's ago the BBA challenged the people of Beccles to get the name of Beccles as far afield as possible.
And last week Mike and Irene Oxborough, of Providence Place, sent the bag 12,000 miles to Australia with their niece who emigrated there in 1975.
Noreen Grindrod, who lives with her husband Garry in the South Australian city, came to visit friends and relatives recently and was sent home with the Bought in Beccles bag by her aunt.

The Bought in Beccles Bag is a reusable, eco friendly bag available from the town hall or most of the independent shops in Beccles. The bag costs £2.50 and is designed for books, small gifts and groceries.
