A Royal Naval Association (RNA) branch has expressed its gratitude to a health centre that has provided one of its members with treatment for more than three decades.

Gordon Davies, who is a veteran Royal Marine and member of the Beccles RNA, has been receiving treatment for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since the Chedgrave MS Therapy Centre opened in May 1986.

Despite no longer being able to attend monthly RNA meetings, Mr Davies has found significant relief from his condition by having sessions in the decompression chamber at the centre.

The facility relies solely on charitable donations and, during a recent visit, Beccles RNA members Bob Hempstead and Mike Parsons presented them with a cheque for £100.

“The centre is busier than ever, providing treatment to people with various conditions including Parkinson’s Disease, Cancer, Stroke, MS and ME,” said Mr Hempstead.

Mr Parsons added: “Gordon has been in good spirits ever starting his treatment and has lost none of his sense of humour.”
