A new president has been announced for Beccles Rotary Club.
Outgoing president John Warburton handed over the job to his successor Paul Randle in his last duty at the club’s July meeting held at the Bear and Bells.
Mr Randle’s achievements in the club to date have included efficiently leading the Beccles Cycle for Life organising team for the last few years - a community event which raises thousands of pounds each year to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Rotary Club’s charitable trust.
Mr Randle said he has exciting plans for increasing the membership of the club and the local profile of Rotary, known particularly for the annual charity cycle ride and also the Beccles Hospital Fete staged every year in June.
Mr Randle handed over his former regalia to the new vice-president, Dennis Robbins.
