The 5th Beccles Scout group is appealing for additional volunteers to help the club’s continued growth.
The group has around 60 young people split over Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, however due to retirement more volunteers are needed in both uniformed and non-uniformed roles.
A spokesman said: “We have a home for all of your talents and also provide the opportunity for adults to develop existing skills and learn new ones.
“The more adults we have, the greater opportunity we can offer the young people to broaden their scouting experience. Even if you think you have don’t have any skills to offer, by coming along you will discover talents you didn’t know you had! Scouting is no longer just about outdoor adventure - young people can earn recognition in many subjects from DIY skills and basic car maintenance to performing arts and digital skills.”
Training is provided free of charge, with any related travel and subsistence costs reimbursed. Some roles require completion of a DBS check which will be undertaken without cost to the volunteer.
