A Beccles youth football team has invested in new kit and equipment using £500 donated by a housing firm.
Taylor Wimpey East Anglia made the donation to Beccles Town Football Club’s U16s Bees team.
Paul Barford, Beccles Town FC’s treasurer, said: “The U16 Bees epitomise what playing for Beccles Town is all about – they play as a team that truly love the game. Win, lose or draw, they come off the field at full-time proud to have represented their local town, knowing that they have done their best.
“The sponsorship pledged by Taylor Wimpey will ensure every player gets the new Beccles Town FC kit, which is fantastic news and is something they will all wear with great pride.”
Caroline Carter, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia, said: “Sports clubs play such an important role within their local communities, so we were delighted to sponsor the U16s Bees and wish them every success for the season.”
