Members of the Beccles group of the River Waveney Trust Association have been working to restore a section of footpath on the Norfolk bank just outside Beccles.
The volunteers worked with the local landowner, Norfolk County Council, Trust ‘HQ’, South Norfolk Council and the Broads Authority to improve and increase public access to the rest of the footpath along the river as well as to the river itself.
The project is part of a programme of projects which include the Beccles Scores, other dilapidated sections of footpath along the route of the ‘Beccles Ring’, the Beccles Marsh Trail and other paths on and around the Beccles marshes open to the public.
The work was completed Monday morning.
