A residential care home is appealing for donations of bric-a-brac, books and clothes for an upcoming charity sale.

Brooke House Residential Care Home will host a charity sale on Saturday, January 27, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Proceeds will be divided between Nelson’s Journey, a Norfolk-based child bereavement charity, and the Brooke House residents’ fun which pays for outings and extra activities.

Manager Hayley Hirst said: “We already have a supply of bric-a-brac, including generous donations from our staff and residents’ families, but we would love to receive more.

“Nelson’s Journey is a really worthwhile local charity, providing one to one support, activity days and residential breaks for bereaved children and we are keen to raise as much money as possible to support both them and our residents’ fund.”

Tea, coffee and cakes will be on offer and the sale along with musical entertainment.

People willing to donate bric-a-brac are asked to drop it at the residential home in Brook Gardens.
