Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club has unveiled it new changing room facilities, which form part of the club’s ambitious new five year strategic plan.

The new facilities follow a members’ survey which showed people were not happy with the changing arrangements.

Speaking at the opening of the new changing rooms, Ruth Reynard, chairman of the club’s management committee, said: “Here at Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club, we are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our valued members and guests.

“Results in our last member’s survey showed a high level of satisfaction with our course, however it was clear people were not as happy with the quality of our old changing room facilities.

“The management committee recognised this and we have now acted to address it. We are delighted with these new and improved facilities and it will further enhance the quality of what we offer as a club.

Speaking about the five year strategy she added: “We certainly can’t rest on our laurels and it is vital to have a clear, long term plan that sets out our direction of travel.

“This should also give confidence to our existing and potential members and shows complete transparency from the management committee, which we feel is important.

“The golf industry is very competitive and we must now work even harder to continue to grow our business and adapt to the fast and ever changing customer landscape.

“We have already taken certain steps towards this, for example, we now offer a wide range of membership products to better suit people’s various lifestyles and demands.

“Our new five year strategic plan clearly sets out what we are looking to achieve up to 2023 and how we intend to do this.”

As part of its plan, Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club is aiming to attract more members and visitors, with a particular focus on women and a younger demographic. Improving the course further, to maintain the current high standard, is also a priority.
